Bluetooth modul

Leírás

The main goals of the board:

  • Easy to connect  – Connect analog throttle, brake, button, etc inputs to VESC easily, all at once. ADC1, ADC2 and ADC3 can be used at the same time
  • Safety – The board pulls the analog input to 0 if the wire is broken, therefore the motor won’t start if you disconnect the throttle wires accidentally
  • Control with the VESC app – The built-in bluetooth module makes it possible to adjust and check the parameters of the controller even if your controller doesn’t have a built-in bluetooth or if you don’t have a laptop with you
The content of the package:
  • Bluetooth and analog board
  • 8-pin (default) or 7-pin cable to connect to VESC
  • 2pcs of 3-pin connector to connect to ADC1 and ADC2
  • 1pc of 2-pin connector to connect to ADC3
  • 8pcs of pre-crimped wires that can be pushed into the connector housings
Specs:
  • Size: 33x34mm
  • Bluetooth: nRF52832
  • Communication distance: 100m under ideal conditions
  • Compliance: CE, FCC
Compatibility
The module is compatible with every VESC controller (however please note that the connector can be different for some controllers, eg FSESC 4.2 and FSESC75100 uses a 7-pin controller instead of the newer 8-pin version. Please choose the connector pin count of your controller when placing an order)
How to use the Bluetooth:
  • Connect the module to your VESC with the provided cable (in case you ordered with a 7 pin connector, please use the 7-pin side for VESC connection and the 8-pin side for module connection)
  • Power on your VESC
  • A blue LED should light up in the upper left corner of the PCB that indicates that the module receives power and is ready for use.
  • Now the bluetooth is discoverable from the VESC Tool mobile (or desktop) app
  • Connect to the „BeXtreme VESC BLE” device. Another blue LED should light up in the top right corner of the PCB indicating that your phone is connected to the device
  • Now you can check and set the parameters of your VESC controller
How to use the analog connectors:
  • Note the wire colors of the throttle, brake or button. For throttle it’s usually: Red: VCC, Green: signal, Black: GND
  • Cut the original connector of the throttle, brake or button if it has one
  • Blank the wires approximately 1cm
  • Place the wire into the provided heatshrink, insert the other end of the provided cable into the heatshrink. The blanked wires should be above each other, and their middle should match the tin in the heatshrink
  • Apply heat until the tin is melted around the wires. Check if you can separate the cables, if yes, apply more heat until they’re soldered together
  • Attach the wires of the throttle, brake or button to the appropriate pin. If you use a button, use only the VCC and ADC X wires. (For ADC3 only button can be attached)
  • Use the VESC Tool to set up the analog inputs
  • Use an electrical heat gun, lighter or soldering iron (heat gun is the best)
How to program the module (not necessary)
You can use the pin headers to program the BLE module if necessary, can be programmed with a VESC through the programming connector or with an ST-Link V2 from a PC. Just connect the marked pins to the appropriate VESC or ST-Link pins
